The Revenant

SYNOPSIS
Inspired on real events, The revenant depicts an era when living was basically a struggle on surviving. The high snowy mountains on the background give us the same feeling, the scenario is imposing, and drives us onto a state of constant alert, like if we where expecting a wolf or a bear to come up at anytime, and kill us. This feeling is shown in the characters, who have to cross these mountains, throughout movie, on a fur expedition, lead by Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio), who eventually gets attacked by a bear, and only by an act of God survives, although badly insured.
Considering the scenario and the long way the party still has to go, it’s decided that three men will stay behind with Glass, his son Hawck (Forrest Goodluck) an indian boy who is now vulnerable to John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy), who despises the boy also staying behind, and Bridger Will (Poulter) a friend of Hawck’s, until Glass recovers from the insuries.
Not seeing much chances on Glass’s survival John convinces Glass to “putt him out of his misery”. At the moment of the “execution” Hawck shows up and gets killed by John, who decides to take Will and just leave Glass behind, by convincing Will they are about to be attacked by Indians.
Insured but full of revenge, john finds the strength to get him self out of the hole John had put him in, and go to his dead son. Eventually after fleeing some hostile natives who approached the camp, he´s found by an Indian who heals him.
Glass finds his way back to the fort and the truth is unraveled. John steals the soldiers pay and runs away just in time, before Captain Andrew Henry (Dommhnall Gleeson) shouts to arrest him. Glass them hunts and insures John, leaving him to be scalped by Indians.
